Artificial Intelligence engines are able to turn 7,000-word astrology reports into 300-word summaries of themes. They do this through something called Thematic Analysis, in which a document is scanned for common and recurrent themes, which are then put into a short summary.
Aspects Arrow is Halloran's new astrology report, based upon ten years' worth of statistical research and writing approximately three thousand separate male and female aspect interpretations collected together in the natal interpretation set In The Beginning, on which the Aspects Arrow report draws in order to focus upon interpreting the closest aspects in a person's natal chart.
There is no guarantee that common themes will recur among the aspects of a person's chart, but artificial intelligence should find such themes if they exist. It can add value to an astrologer's practice to be able to supply condensed AI summaries of what is in a client's natal chart. If the client is seeking clarity regarding their purpose, these AI summaries can help the astrologer to supply what the client is seeking.
A word of caution regarding AI engines, however. If instructed to slant the summaries in a certain way, they will do so without restraint. Also, avoid asking a chatbot for personal or spiritual advice. There are recent articles that describe how people, who originally employed ChatGPT just for help with work, became more involved with it and developed "chatbot-induced psychosis."
Most astrologers have too much backbone to give up their critical thinking powers and fall into the trap of dependency upon an AI engine. I am reminded of talking to software customers in the Bible Belt, who secretly pursued their love of astrology even when they could not discuss it with their religious neighbors. There will always be people who prefer to remain in a state of dependency versus maturing into independent, autonomous, and questioning adults. Astrologers and adults with critical thinking powers will use whatever tool gets the job done.
Here I present the results of an experiment in which I submitted the Halloran-interpreted aspects of three famous people to the ChatGPT artificial intelligence engine together with instructions. There was considerable variation in the output depending on the instructions and, it seemed, random variation in how the AI engine proceeded to work. ChatGPT is just one of many AI engines that can perform Thematic Analysis. I also tested Claude AI and found that the instructions were more important than the particular engine. In the case of all three report subjects, it was important to submit just the aspect interpretations part of the report as the AI engine would draw upon its other information when given a clue as to the person's identity.
The three famous persons were Donald Trump, Albert Einstein, and Charles Manson. The submitted Rich Text Format file from Aspects Arrow each contained a little over 7,000 words. The AI summaries tended to range from 300 to 400 words.
