April 8, 2024 Total Solar Eclipse
AstrolDeluxe Platinum calculates the eclipses that will occur between a start date and a stop date.
The Great North American Eclipse path will cross from Mazatlan, Mexico through northern Texas all the way up to Maine. The Sun and Moon will conjoin at 19 degrees Aries 24 minutes. Chiron will exactly conjoin them at 19 Aries 24. Also, Mars and Saturn are parallel to each other at 7 S 48 and 7 S 40 declination in the eclipse chart. Mars and Saturn are closely contraparallel to the Sun and Moon at 7 N 36.
What is the significance of Chiron conjoining the eclipse? Chiron is connected to hospitals and the struggle to overcome limitations. When the Sun, Moon, and Chiron were closely conjunct on October 31, 1997 at 11:09 AM in Milan, Italy there was a sudden hospital fire within an oxygen-rich hyperbaric chamber that killed 11 people. One might, therefore, project a deadly accident at the time of the eclipse, possibly at the U.S.-Mexico border. The hospital incident in Milan involved a close conjunction of Sun, Moon, and Chiron, but not an eclipse. Eclipses are known to create a sensitive point that another planet can trigger at a later date.
Individuals whose natal charts align with an eclipse tend to be especially affected. It is interesting that in President Biden's natal chart, the Moon is at a declination of 7 N 43. The Moon relates to a politician's connection with the public. The eclipse Sun and Moon conjoin this natal Moon declination and the eclipse Mars and Saturn oppose it. This could indicate that April will be a difficult month for President Biden.
The Release Notes for version 10.2 of AstrolDeluxe Platinum discussed this eclipse as follows: "Parallax effects can be confirmed by looking at visibility paths for eclipses. A total solar eclipse will cross Mexico and the United States on April 8, 2024. It will be exact at 1:20:55 pm, Central Daylight Time, at the location of Nazas, Mexico, which is 25N17 and 104W08. It will cross Waco, Texas at 1:38:02 pm, Central Daylight Time. If you calculate for either of those times and places and look at the Table for Primary Directions you can see that the geocentric right ascension and declination for the Moon do not match those of the Sun, but the Topocentric Moon values shown in Chart Analysis will match, thereby enabling the Moon to physically obscure the Sun."
